Hello Golf Friends,
We’re so excited – the start of the Blue Ocean Ladies 9 Hole (BOL9) Golf League is just around the corner!
We’re also excited to announce that we have expanded the league’s executive committee (see names at the bottom of this email. Introductions will be made at our 2026 Season Opening meeting).
Everyone welcome! Please pass it on if you know anyone who may want to join who wasn’t a member last year.
We’re going to start the season off on April 8 with a 9:30 shotgun-start Spring Bonnet Scramble. Yes, there will be a prize for the best bonnet!!!
We’ll then hold our brief season opening meeting in the Blue Ocean Clubhouse after the scramble . After the meeting, we hope you’ll stay to join the League Exec Committee and other members for lunch.
Do you have a female golf friend who is not in the league? How about inviting her to join in on the Scramble and to learn about the league? Guests are welcome to join the meeting and the lunch. Any league members who brings a guest will receive a ticket for a prize draw.
Important Dates:
Wed. Mar 25: $50 payment deadline (instructions below)
Fri. Mar 27: League Welcome Email to those who have paid
Wed. April 1: Deadline for signing up for the April 8 Scramble (sign-up sheet at the course)
(if you can’t get to the course by April 1 to sign-up, please just call the clubhouse to get your name added 604-885-2700)
Fri. April 3: Confirmation email to those who have signed up for April 8 Scramble
Wed. April 8:
8:30 – 9:00 registration for 9:30 am shotgun start, Opening Scramble
11:30 League Meeting at the Blue Ocean Club House
12:00 Lunch – menu ordering and individual payment
(meeting and lunch start times subject to scramble completion time)
Wed. April 15, 22 and 29 11:00 – 12:00 3 golf lessons (only 8 spots available!)
– Refresh your golf basics and get back in the swing with lessons from Dan!
– Putting, Chipping/Irons and Driving
– Only 8 spots; we will try to hold another session if there is more interest
– Cost is $105 and you can sign up at the golf shop
League Membership Payment ($50 due by March 25):
– Send e-transfer to our Treasurer at blueoceanladies@icloud.com
– Please indicate your name on the e-transfer message line
– If you can’t pay by e-transfer, please contact Lisa Edginton at ledginton@blueoceangolf.ca for assistance with payment.
A follow-up email will be sent March 27 to those who have paid. If you have paid and do not receive an email on March 27, please email Elaine at ejsteel *at* icloud.com.
Also, anyone new can email Elaine for further information.
We’ll officially launch the 2026 bol9.golfclub.net//app at the season opening meeting, but in the meantime there is some updated information available including Announcements (important dates and this email), and Documents (includes the 2026 Season Schedule).
